Love mozzarella sticks but hate making them at home and find frozen ones utterly disappointing? ME TOO.
Breading mozzarella sticks sucks and it’s messy, and I hate the whole process.
Which is what makes my next bit of news especially awesome… YOU CAN JUST USE EGGROLL WRAPPERS.
You know, like the kind you buy precut at the store. Your life just got so much easier… AND CHEESIER.
What You Need:
Packaged Eggroll Wrapper
Mozzarella String Cheese Sticks
Oil for frying (I use Avocado Oil)
1/2 Stick Butter
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
Marinara or Pizza Sauce for dipping.
What You Do:
- Wrap your cheese sticks in the eggroll wrapper, lining the edge of the wrapper with water so that it sticks. Need tips on this, click here!
- Heat your oil, and fry mozzarella sticks until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove sticks from oil and set on a paper towel to drain.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter in microwave, add garlic powder and Italian seasoning, stir to combine, and drizzle over mozzarella sticks before serving.
- Serve with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
